Dispensing a Nexus Prescription
Any GPhC-registered pharmacy can access a Nexus Prescription as long as the patient has shared their token and date of birth with you. You do not need to create an account or sign in to the console in order to access their prescription.
How to dispense a Nexus Prescription
Dispensing a prescription through NexusMed is a simple process for accessing it, checking the details and marking it as dispensed.
Search for the prescription
Visit nexusmed.cloud/dispense (opens in a new tab) to enter the token and date of birth. A successful match should load the prescription information.
How do I use the barcode?
Using the barcode is optional. If you have a QR-code (3D barcode) scanner plugged into the computer and your web browser is focused on the nexusmed.cloud/dispense page, scanning the barcode should automatically retrieve the prescription instead of having to type out the token and date of birth.
Check the prescription
Now can now check the prescription order and mark it as dispensed if you are able to fulfil the request.
Mark it as dispensed
To mark it as dispensed, you will need to input your pharmacy information. You can either search for your pharmacy or enter in the details manually.
I can't find my pharmacy using the search
You can search for your pharmacy using its GPhC number instead of the name or address. Or you can manually enter your pharmacy details instead of selecting it.
Additionally, you can enable Location Services (opens in a new tab) in order to search based on the distance from you.
If your pharmacy is new to the register it should appear soon, but in this case we recommend using the manual data entry to avoid any delay.
